Maritime Labels of Canada invests in HP Indigo 6900 to innovate in digital shrink sleeves

Maritime Labels and Packaging of Nova Scotia has chosen the HP Indigo 6900 Digital Press to deliver innovation to its markets for high-volume printing of digital shrink sleeves with unlimited flexibility for variation. The addition of the HP Indigo 6900 Digital Press at the Bedford site will enable the converter to become the first supplier of digitally printed shrink sleeves in the region to its clientele, including craft beer, wine, spirits, cider, spices, juices, and nutraceutical brands.

“We believe in thinking outside the box as we develop our product offerings, aiming to add the highest quality products. After considering the available technologies, we concluded the print quality and flexibility the new HP Indigo 6900 shines,” said Paul Sproule, operations manager, Maritime Labels and Packaging. Maritime will also use the new HP Indigo 6900 to print on premium label substrates, while adding embellishments such as foiling, embossing, and screen printing.

The narrow-web HP Indigo 6900 press is capable of driving highly demanding data applications including 1:1 brand campaigns and security printing thanks to its high-performance print server, HP Production Pro for Indigo Labels and Packaging. The server offers up to five times faster RIP power for more jobs per day and faster turnaround.

The pioneer of digital label printing in Atlantic Canada, Maritime Labels and Packaging has been bringing direct-to-press label printing and its many benefits to local, national, and international companies since 2003.
