Apex customers draw attention in three Flexo Print Award ceremonies

During three recent reputable 2017 award ceremonies, numerous Apex International customers were nominated and 34 were declared award winners for their submissions printed with Apex anilox technology. EFTA Benelux, FlexoTech and FlexoStars recognized the finest in flexo printed paper and corrugated board.

The 2nd EFTA-Benelux Flexo Awards, a biennial competition that accepts entries from printers in Belgium and The Netherlands, was held in Antwerp on November 9th. During the ceremony where gold, silver and bronze awards were presented in ten categories, seven of eight print gold awards were Apex customers: Max Aarts B.V. (flexo print on foil/narrow), Oerlemans Plastics B.V. (flexo print on foil/wide), Etiket Nederland (flexo print on paper/small), Papierindustrie Adriaan Dekker B.V. (flexo print on paper/medium), Mondi Poperinge (flexo print on paper/wide), and double award-winner VPK Packaging N.V. (corrugated post print/uncoated and corrugated post print coated).

On November 23rd, the FlexoTech Awards, one of the most prestigious international events for flexo prints took place in London. Four Apex customers took home a gold award: Coveris (UV flexo paper & board), Stora Enso (corrugated post-print, C-Flute and above), Smurfit Kappa CRP (sacks and corrugated preprint liner), and Flex-N- Roll (any flexo job previously printed by another process).

Recognizing the best flexo prints in France, the French Technical Association of Flexography (ATF) held its 31 st edition of FlexoStars in Saint-Malo on December 14 th . Gold winners that printed with Apex anilox technology were: Sical (corrugated cardboard post print on uncoated), International Paper (corrugated cardboard post print on coated), Richard Laleu (paper-based printing), Gascogne Sacs (complex films printed with water-based ink), Lysipack (awarded twice for aluminum printing and continuous printing on paper) and Palamy (non-complex films: polyethylene - PP - polyester - polyamide – PVC). Gascogne Sacks was also awarded the Technical Jury Award, and Smurfit Kappa Colorys received the Artistic Jury Award. Additional Apex customers also received silver & bronze awards and nominations in all three events.
