At the upcoming LabelExpo
Americas tradeshow in Chicago iSys Label will be having live demonstrations of the Edge 850 and Apex 1290 digital label printers in booth #6413. During the show, iSys Label will be showcasing the Edge 850,
a roll to roll digital label printer for printing full color BS5609-compliant
chemical drum labels on demand. With recent “BS5609 Section 3 Certification” by
PIRA (the Print Industry Research Association), the Edge 850 makes easy work
out of printing GHS-compliant labels. Die-cut labels printed on the Edge 850
deliver outstanding stability and resistance to water, chemicals, fading and
smudges when exposed to the harshest of elements. With print speeds of
4.33m/min and 9.14m/min, the Edge 850 will allow users to eliminate the need
for ordering pre-printed labels, reduce inventory and wait times, and allows
users to customize each label with variable information in full color - all in
a single pass.
Developed for the short run label market, the Edge 850 will
prove its versatility by also printing on a variety of substrates in die-cut,
kiss-cut or continuous rolls for the label market. This innovative printer is
easy to operate using the Edge2Print software and an auto adjusting form
synchronization rewinder system. This allows operations to stage a job in
minutes. Designed for in-house production of labels, users will be capable of
printing 2000 labels in less than 20 minutes and have the finished roll ready
for immediate application or to be placed on the finisher.
In addition to the Edge 850, iSys Label will also be showing
their flagship product, the Apex 1290 - a digital label press for short to mid
run production. With media print widths ranging from 3” to 12.9” wide, users
can print 28,000 production-worthy labels in less than 37 minutes.
