ROAD SHOWS BUILD ANTICIPATION FOR THE UPCOMING LABELEXPO INDIA

There is less than two months to go before Labelexpo India takes place at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from 8-11 December. This major exhibition looks set to be the most significant event for label converters in India and throughout the region in 2010.

The recent road shows, which were held in Chennai, Mumbai and Ludhiana, proved an enormous success in bringing together the printer community to network and discuss the latest innovations in the industry in preparation for the show. Attendees also got an exclusive preview of all the exciting developments that will be on display at Labelexpo India in December.

The first road show in Chennai was hosted by Nilpeter/Proteck and attendees were treated to a sneak preview of the new Nilpeter FB3300 Servo press built by the company in India. Starting from the infeed, the press incorporates a convenient splicing table with pneumatic hold-down bars which speeds roll splicing, while the unique S-wrap dancer system ensures accurate tension control. The press will also be on display at the show.

Mr. Ajay Mehta, Managing Director of SMI Coated Products, Roger Pellow, Labelexpo Managing Director and Andy Thomas, Group Managing Editor’s speeches were also very well received by the audience.

The third road show took place in Ludhiana. With an outstanding 180+ printers in attendance, the evening had a great atmosphere with attendees enjoying a communicative speech from the current president of the Offset Printers’ Association, Mr. Parveen Agarwal and General Secretary, Mr. Kamal Chopra.

Roger Pellow, Labelexpo Managing Director, said: “We believe in developing the labeling industry and growing it globally. Labelexpo India is one of the events that is key to this strategy and reflects our commitment to this important market. Running these road shows before Labelexpo India was a fantastic way to engage with printers across India in the run up to the show and the positive atmosphere at these events truly reflected what a great show we are expecting in New Delhi. I’d like to thank all the associations for the support that they have given us and I look forward to seeing them and their members at Labelexpo India in December.”
